spiritual activities that promote fervent prayer and
reflection, renewal of Spirit, and growth in Christ.

LADIES
AIDE
An
organization of Holy Spirit-filled women that
support the church with monetary contribution
through fundraising, as well as ministering to the
spiritual needs of the church by visiting sick and
homebound members.

WOMEN'S
JOY MINISTRY
An
all-encompassing inspirational ministry that
provides women with the necessary instruments to
enhance their feminine spirituality through service,
prayer, mutual encouragement, Christian education
and glorification of God.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance; if we live in the Spirit, let
us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 22-23, 25 |
PUBLIC
SCHOOL EDUCATION MINISTRY
A
group of loyal members that provide partnership to
the staff and students at John F. Reynolds
Elementary School, giving assistance through
volunteer services in a variety of ways:
educational, emotional, spiritual, and moral.

SOUND
MINISTRY
Technically-inspired
ministry that is dedicated to providing the church
body with top-notch sound quality during worship, as
well as supplying shut-in members with audio
recordings of all worship services, free of charge.
“For the administration of this service not only
supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant
also by many thanksgivings unto God.” 2

BAVU
DRAMA MINISTRY
A
creative ministry that teaches Christian values with
thought- provoking, spirit-moving and heart-warming
plays and sketches that minister not only to the
audience members, but to the actors as well.
“And for me, that utterance may be given
unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make
known the mystery of the gospel.” Ephesians 6:19 |
EVANGELISM
MINISTRY
A
bold ministry that takes the gospel of Jesus Christ
outside of the church walls and wins souls by
testifying to, educating and praying for the members
of the community.

Holy Spirit.”

SMALL
GROUP MINISTRY
A
cluster of several tiny ministries that meet very
specific support needs such as cancer, grief, and
addiction recovery.

MEMBERS MINISTRY
Assists
in the assimilation of new members into the church
body through education on spiritual gifts and
God’s ordinances; ultimately leading new members
to ministries where their individual spiritual gifts
can be utilized within the body of Christ.

DANCE MINISTRY
Invokes
the spirit of praise through liturgical dance during
worship services.

ALERT FELLOWSHIP
An
exciting ministry that provides a supportive
platform for Christian education, discussion, social
interaction, mutual encouragement and nurturing of
the spirit of senior citizens.

VACATION
BIBLE SCHOOL
A
two-week summer program designed to Biblically
instruct children between the ages of three and
sixteen with arts and crafts, Bible stories, singing
and games; strengthening the knowledge of
children that already know the Lord and bringing
those that don’t into God’s love.
“Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid
them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.”

MISSIONARY
SOCIETY
An
organization that extends the love, concern and
compassion of Christ outside of the church edifice
and reaches those in need of physical, emotional and
spiritual help all over the city and around the
world, taking the gospel of Jesus Christ with them
everywhere they go.

are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.”

FOUNDERS
CLUB
Group
of individuals committed to preserving the rich,
proud history of Miller Memorial Baptist Church
through visual archives and presentations that can
give future generations glimpses into the past.

INTERCESSORY
PRAYER MINISTRY
A
ministry of humble members, committed to praying
without ceasing for the church body, for the church
building and for the sanctification of Miller
Memorial Baptist Church that God may accept our
worship and praise as righteous.
